Fodor's Review

Five generations of the Peacock family lived in this 1860 sea captain's home before it was converted to an inn. With a large foyer, library, and living room, the white-clapboard house has plenty of places where you can relax; minglers are drawn to the sun room, which opens to the deck and has a handsome bar. Antique pieces accent the tasteful, uncluttered decor. The best of the guest rooms is essentially an open-plan suite, with a separate sitting area, wet bar, refrigerator, gas fireplace, and four-poster bed. Located right in the middle of the village, the inn is within easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants and only a hop, skip and a jump over to Campobello Island.
