Chapman Cottage Review

This impeccably restored inn, named for the woman who had it built as her summer cottage in 1899, sits proudly atop a swath of lawn. The luxuriant bedspreads, fresh flowers, antiques, and beautiful rugs only hint at the indulgence found here. Innkeepers Donna and Paul Archibald spoil their guests with sumptuous breakfasts, afternoon hors d'oeuvres, port, sherry, and homemade chocolate truffles, all prepared by Paul, a professionally trained chef. Most rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs; all are spacious and bright. It's a five-minute walk to either York Village or the harbor.
