Ogunquit Resort Motel Review
Right along U.S. 1 about 2 mi north of Ogunquit Village, this large complex is great for families and for those who prefer larger hotels over B&Bs. Boasting the largest pool in Ogunquit, the resort also has an outdoor hot tub. Beachgoers can walk to Footbridge Beach just about ½ mi away. Choose from deluxe, superior, and luxury rooms; luxury suites have fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. You can leave your car here and hop on the trolley to get around, saving yourself the agony (and expense) of trying to park in town or at the beach. Ask about Internet specials.

Our family stayed at the Ogunquit Resort Motel and Suites in early August of 2010. We saw online that the "suites" could sleep six people. Having a party of six, we reserved a room there and paid the extra fee for more than four guests. Upon arrival, we discovered that the room really slept four - max. We had checked in early and assumed that cots would be brought in for the extra guests. When we called several hours later to check about this, we were informed that they do not own cots and refused to switch our room or give us a refund since we had checked in several hours before. The excuse cited was that housekeeping staff was not available to clean the room again. After several unhelpful conversations, we were forced to reserve an entirely different room at a cost of over $300. Besides the fact that it is absurd, we were never asked to provide our own bedding for guests five and six - neither at reservation or check in. Who ever heard of a hotel that would suggest you bring an air mattress and charge you to stay in their establishment? A carefully written letter yielded a terse response in return. A refund has yet to be made for the original room. Be very careful when staying at this motel. Report complaints immediately if you must stay there and IF YOU PAY FOR EXTRA GUESTS, BE AWARE THAT YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN BEDDING. You've been warned!
