You've probably seen the kitchen's smartly labeled jars of gourmet chutneys, jams, jellies, salsas, and sauces in specialty stores back home. York is the headquarters and processing center for them. The company's complex houses the company store, a bustling café and take-out restaurant, a viewing area of the cooking and bottling processes, and stunning gardens. Sample all the mustards, salsas, and dressings that you can stand, or have lunch at the café. Takeout is available during store hours. Lunch is served daily 11-3; Sunday is brunch day. The venture's latest addition is the cooking school, where participants can join in evening or luncheon courses. Reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are accepted if space allows; most classes cost $35-$50 and are shorter than two hours.
