Christmas Cove Inn Review

If you're traveling with a dog, you'll find few more accommodating spots in Maine than this out-of-the-way place on Rutherford Island. One room even has its own fenced-in dog play yard. Though it's a six-minute drive to the water, the inn has a window-lined fourth-floor "observatory" where on a clear day you might see all the way to Monhegan Island. On a rainy day, relax here with all the books and games. The 2.3-acre property is surrounded by a 2-acre greenbelt, so it's quite private. The main house has rooms with four-season electric fireplace, microwave, coffee pot, and two-person jetted bath (plus separate shower). A newer annex has very large rooms with modern amenities.
