Unique Yankee Bed & Breakfast Review

If you are traveling with a dog, you'll find few more accommodating spots in Maine than this out-of-the way place on Rutherford Island. One room even has its own fenced-in dog play yard. Though it's a 6-minute drive to the water, the inn has a tower where, if you have a clear day, you might see all the way to Monhegan Island. The 2.3-acre property is surrounded by a 2-acre greenbelt, so it's quite private. The main house has rooms with four-season electric fireplace, microwave, coffee pot, and two-person jetted bath (plus separate shower). A newer annex has very large rooms with modern amenities.

My husband and I have traveled quite extensively and we have to say the Unique Yankee Inn is the closet place to heaven. We stayed in the Annex House with our 2 golden retrievers and we absolutely loved it. The house is so warm and clean. Richard & Cheryl (the owners) made us feel like family. The day we left we already booked for next year. If you are looking for a beautiful B&B this is the place for you !!
