El Rayo Taqueria
El Rayo Taqueria Review
For the best Mexican food in town, head to this hip joint housed in a former gas station. The flavors are as vibrant as the turquoise, yellow, and fuchsia decor. All of the salsas and guacamole are made fresh daily. Pull up a stool at the counter, or do like the hipsters do and grab a bright, oilcloth-covered picnic table out front. Wash down achiote-seasoned fish tacos or a citrus-and-cumin-marinated chicken burrito with a lemon-hibiscus refresca (cold drink) or house margarita. The more genteel Cantina El Rayo opened next door in 2012, and it's quickly become a date-night fave.
