On the main floor of the Harraseeket Inn, this dark-paneled tavern with mounted moose heads, decoys, snowshoes, and other outdoor sporty decor is known for both its casual nature and its sumptuous menu. The chefs use only organically grown food, with a nearly exclusive emphasis on Maine products, to create treats such as steaks and seafood wood-grilled in a large brick hearth. About the only non-Maine ingredient is the farm-raised South Dakota buffalo, though the burger it makes is a real favorite. For lunch, choose from the ample menu or graze on the well-stocked buffet. Lunch and dinner are served daily from 11 AM.
