Fodor's Review

Classic dishes are cleverly updated at this classy Congress Street spot. The menu changes seasonally to reflect ingredients available from local waters, organic farms, and food purveyors, but seared local diver scallops, served in a buttery carrot-vanilla emulsion, are an exquisite mainstay. So is the mac and cheese, which boasts artisanal cheeses and shaved black truffles. You may also find dishes such as milk-braised rabbit with Himalayan red rice and lemon-dressed local greens. You can try the $65 tasting menu, or come for Sunday brunch. The space, with exposed brick and copper accents, is a former 19th-century firehouse. A sister restaurant, Petite Jacqueline bistro in Longfellow Square, has also earned accolades and fans.
