Set back along one of U.S. 1's less-hectic sections is this appealing little motel—it looks more like an inn than what you usually envision as a motel. There are a few rooms in the main house and the rest are in the adjacent motel complex. It's clean, pretty, and in a good central location for exploring the Yorks and Ogunquit, which are just miles away. Suites sleep up to four people and have full kitchens. Pros: Central location between Ogunquit and Yorks, ample grounds provide picnic areas and gas grills. Cons: Not an in-town location, no water views or beachfront.
