Midway along Ogunquit's Marginal Way, this shingle-style Victorian cottage is an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of Perkins Cove. All the rooms have corner locations and are large and airy, and all but one have ocean views. Rooms are fluffed to the hilt with colorful pillows, curtains, antiques, and other objects. You'll find it easy to laze the day away on the wraparound porch or in the gardens. Pros: Dramatic oceanfront location, easy walk to both Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, historic lodging with authentic detail. Cons: Many rooms accessed via steep stairs, not for those traveling with small children.
