Fort Point State Park & Lighthouse

Fodor's Review:

As you head north on U.S. 1 from Searsport, a detour at the little town of Stockton Springs will take you to the Fort Point State Park & Lighthouse. This lovely park sits on a peaceful peninsula jutting into the bay. This is a delightful place for a picnic and there are many nice walks through the woods. The 1837 lighthouse is open by appointment only.
