Formerly the Belfast Bay Meadows Inn, this lovely accommodation is on five meadowed acres overlooking Penobscot Bay and is owned and managed by Kristina and Valentinas Kurapka. The rooms are bright and airy and decorated in pastel shades, with old-fashioned New England quilts on the beds. Some of the rooms even have their own fireplaces. The inn's Continental gourmet restaurant ($$-$$$$) is one of the best in the area. No smoking and no pets are allowed, but one room is handicapped accessible, as is the restaurant. Pro: You don't have to go out for dinner. Con: If you want to explore Belfast's colorful downtown, you will have to drive.
