Rockland's largest accommodation by far, Trade Winds sits on the edge of the harbor and across from the Lighthouse Museum. Many rooms have balconies overlooking the harbor and marina. The restaurant ($-$$$) seats up to 150 and features dishes such as steamed mussels, pecan-encrusted halibut, and Maine shrimp in a garlic cream sauce over pasta. Some smoking rooms are available. Pros: Great location, convenient to nearly everything. Con: Can be noisy in summer.
