Fodor's Review:

If peace and tranquillity at the ocean are what you are looking for, this is the place. The suites and rooms have king- or queen-size beds, original wood floors, and water views. Sprinkled throughout are works of art. Guests are within walking distance to Popham Beach and two historic forts. At low tide you can walk to coastal islands, and fishing can be really good where the Kennebec River meets the sea at the beach. Pros: Extensive grounds and gardens, always a breeze, Wi-Fi in the rooms. Con: Far from town.
