Hotel Pemaquid

Fodor's Review:

As they say, location is everything. Step back in time at this beautifully restored 1888 inn located less than 500 feet from the lighthouse at Pemaquid Point. The main building is Victorian in style; cottages and bungalow units have a more contemporary feel. The carriage-house suite is ideal for honeymooners or others seeking a romantic retreat. Relax on the big wraparound porch or enjoy sitting in front of a fire in the stone fireplace. Antiques decorate the comfortable rooms. The grounds are good for kids because they are open and large, and it is a short walk to the Pemaquid Point lighthouse site. Pros: Quiet, reasonably priced. Cons: No frills, no food.
