Built in the early 1850s, this carefully renovated inn is convenient to the harbor and Wiscasset Village, with its art galleries, antiques shops, and some of the region's finest sea captains' homes. Each of the four guest rooms is named for a clipper ship built in Maine: the White Falcon, the Golden Horn, the Flying Eagle, and the Red Jacket. Two rooms have fireplaces. There are also a pair of two-bedroom suites, located in the carriage house, with private entrances. Children are welcome here. The public area offers wireless access and a TV. Special offerings include complimentary bottled water and Molton Brown personal items. Pros: Owners Paul and Melanie's specialties are, respectively, cooking, and massage and yoga. Con: On busy Route 1.
