Fodor's Review:

Author Rachel Carson gathered most of the material for her book The Edge of the Sea from the quarter-acre tide pool now known as Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve, just north of New Harbor. The land, donated to the Nature Conservancy in 1966, is home to many of the creatures who live in a tidal zone.
