By Air in Blue Hill Peninsula

Trenton's Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport is near the Blue Hill Peninsula, but only one commuter airline—Colgan Air, a subsidiary of US Airways, flies here to and from Boston. The Boston-Bar Harbor flight offers, on a clear day, bird's-eye views of the Maine Coast, but bad weather often makes arrivals and departures uncertain. Most travelers to the peninsula prefer Bangor International Airport, an hour's drive away, into which American, Continental, Delta, Midwest Express, Northwest, and US Airways fly.
