Arborvine
Arborvine Review
Glowing (albeit ersatz) fireplaces, period antiques, exposed beams, and hardwood floors covered with Oriental rugs adorn each of the four candlelit dining rooms in this renovated Cape Cod-style house. Begin with a salad of mixed greens, sliced beets, and pears with blue cheese crumbled on top. For your entrée, choose from dishes such as medallions of beef and goat cheese with shoestring potatoes or pork tenderloin with sweet cherries in a port-wine reduction. The specials and fresh fish dishes are superb, as are the crab cakes. Save room for dessert; the lemon mousse and the creamy cheesecake are especially delicious. A take-out lunch menu is available at the adjacent Moveable Feasts deli, where the Vinery piano bar offers drinks, tapas, and live music in the evening.
