Fodor's Review:

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts offers two- and three-week-long courses for people of all skill levels in such crafts as blacksmithing, basketry, printmaking, and weaving. Artisans from around the world present evening lectures throughout summer. You can take a free tour of the facility at 1 PM on Wednesday, June through September. In autumn, shorter courses are available to New England residents. The school is 6 mi from Deer Isle Village, off Route 15.
