Caterpillar Hill

Fodor's Review:

As you travel south toward Deer Isle, scenic Route 15 passes through Sedgwick before taking you over the graceful green suspension bridge that crosses Eggemoggin Reach. The picnic area at Caterpillar Hill, on the mainland about 1 mi south of the junction of Routes 15 and 175, has a fabulous view of Penobscot Bay dotted with hundreds of deep-green islands. You can even see across the bay to the Camden Hills, southwest of the Blue Hill Peninsula. With good reason, this spot is known as Million Dollar View.
