Blue Hill
Snuggled between 943-foot Blue Hill Mountain and Blue Hill Bay, the village of Blue Hill sits cozily beside its harbor. Originally known for its granite quarries, copper mines, and shipbuilding, today the town is known for its pottery and galleries, bookstores, antiques shops, and studios that line its streets. The Blue Hill Fair (www.bluehillfair.com), held Labor Day weekend, is a tradition in these parts, with agricultural exhibits, food, rides, and entertainment.
