Fodor's Review:

Established in 1883, this grand inn overlooking Northeast Harbor has some of the best views you'll find. The attractively furnished guest rooms have hardwood floors, hand-braided rugs, and brass beds. The restaurant ($$-$$$$) is open to the public for breakfast and dinner, as well as lunch in July and August. You can eat in the dining room or outside on the deck overlooking the harbor. The baked stuffed lobster is among the most popular dishes, but the kitchen also does great things with salmon and halibut. The extensive wine list includes more than 100 wines. The inn is close to Acadia National Park's hiking trails and carriage roads. One room is handicapped accessible; all rooms are no smoking and no pets. Pro: You don't have to look around for a place to go for dinner. Con: The inn is on the pricey side.
