One of Bar Harbor's newest lodgings, this Tudor-style hotel has a prime location next to the harbor. The guest rooms are elegantly decorated in soft yellows and greens; the baths are tiled in marble. Most rooms have balconies, many have water views. Suites have high-definition televisions and surround-sound stereo; penthouse suites have a full kitchen, dining room, hot tub, and fireplace. A spa is on the premises. The inn's restaurant, the Pier ($$-$$$), is open to the public for lunch and dinner and specializes in fresh seafood, including lobster and jumbo scallops. Pro: Great views of the harbor and surrounding islands. Con: Definitely not an "economy" accommodation for those on a tight budget.
