Acadia National Park Essentials

Admission Fee: A user fee is required if you are anywhere in the park. The fee is $20 per vehicle for a seven-consecutive-day pass. Or use your National Park America the Beautiful Pass, which allows entrance to any national park in the United States. See www.nps.gov for details.

Admission Hours: The park is open 24 hours a day, year-round, though the roads often are closed in winter because of snow. Operating hours are 8 AM-4:30 PM April 15-October and until 6 PM. in July and August

Camping: There are more than 500 campsites in the park. Ask for a guide at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Blackwoods Campground has 16 wheelchair-accessible sites. There are no hook-ups, though some sites can fit RVs.

Pets: Pets are allowed at all park locations, but they must be on leashes no longer than six feet.
