Horseback Riding in Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park does not have its own horseback riding program, but you can arrange for carriage rides or board your own horse at Wildwood Stables (Park Loop Rd., Seal Harbor. 207/276-3622 or 859/356-7139. www.acadia.net/wildwood). With more than 40 mi of carriage roads, the park is an excellent place to ride your horse at a slow, comfortable pace. The stables, which do not rent horses, are ½ mi south of the Jordan Pond House restaurant.
