Business Hours in New Orleans

Business Hours

More Travel Tips »

Banks & Offices

Banks are open weekdays 9-4, and in most cases in the morning on Saturday. Drive-through windows keep longer hours but often restrict transactions to local customers. ATMs are abundant, however. Business offices are typically open weekdays 8-5.

Museums & Sights

Many museums are closed Monday, and some are not open Sunday as well. Very few have evening hours. Hours of sights and attractions are denoted in the book by the clock icon.

Pharmacies

Pharmacies generally open daily at 8 or 9 AM and close between 5 and 9 PM. The national chains offer 24-hour prescription service at selected locations.

Shops

Store hours are generally from 10 to 5:30 or 6 Monday through Saturday, with shorter hours—from noon to 5—on Sunday. In areas with active nightlife, such as the French Quarter and at shopping malls, many stores stay open until 7 PM and beyond.
