Fodor's Review

At the northern edge of the Warehouse District, an 1884 bronze statue of Civil War General Robert E. Lee, by sculptor Alexander Doyle, stands high above the city on a white marble column in a traffic circle. Developments over the past several years have greatly improved the area immediately around the circle, which now includes the Contemporary Arts Center, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the National World War II Museum, and Louisiana's Civil War Museum at Confederate Memorial Hall.
