My wife and I were enjoying a beautiful spring morning along Magazine Street shopping and looking at the many and varied shops. We made enough purchases along the way to be burdened by more than a few bags - the point being we were not only shoppers, we were buyers. We walked into Aux Belles Choses caught by the interesting and well done exterior. As is our habit, we said hello to the woman behind the desk. As had not been our experience in
other and often more expensive stores, we received only a surly look from the owner/employee. My wife then said "hello" again. Nothing but the same surly frown. We perused the shop under the uncomfortable eyes of this terribly unhappy woman. Upon leaving, I said "Thank you" and opened the door to exit. Again nothing. My wife said in a louder voice "thank you". Nothing in response beyond the surly look. Magazine Street is a great experience from beginning to end with endless interesting shops and owners. Don't waste your time or ruin your experience with this store packed with overpriced, flea market type items. More importantly, don't endure this unwelcoming store!
