Fodor's Review

Sure, it's touristy, but there are reasons Pat O's has been a must-stop on the New Orleans drinking trail since Prohibition. There's plenty of room to spread out, from the elegant side bar and piano bar that flank the carriageway entrance to the lush (and in winter, heated) patio. Friendly staff, an easy camaraderie among patrons, and a signature drink—the pink, fruity, and extremely potent Hurricane, which comes with a souvenir glass—make this French Quarter stalwart a pleasant afternoon diversion. Expect a line on weekend nights, and if you don't want your glass, return it for the deposit.

Great stop!

a must on the list - perhaps to get your night rolling. Sit outside in the middle of their venue under the stars in the patio area...the gleam and sound of the fire/water fountain in copper vessel sets the tone. Twinkle lights and music infused from the inside venue alludes to the Nola surroundings. Get warmed up on some mighty powered hurricanes (the best we found in the town)! ... and off to the piano bar! FUN FUN! you might get lucky and

here the tunes from the pizza pan player man! He was the best!

Pat O'Brien's Review

If you are fun and outgoing on the inside as much as you are on the outside, you will love to experience the "paradise" of Pat O'briens. Out of the many outstanding, unique, and lively characteristics of New Orleans, the "antique" look of the building will take your breath away in as little as two steps and one look into this fabulous outdoor/indoor antique style venue. To bring out your wildside, Pat O'briends blows you away with their knockout "hurricane"

to loosen you up before you hit the dance floor inside or mingle on the multi-leveled deck with seating along with another bar for extra servings. After a hot night on the deck, no one can go home without stepping foot into the gift shop located right next to the outside bar to take home a memoir of their hot night out. To take a break from the outside world of Pat's, a beautiful staircase catches your attention. You will definetely feel the vibe of the lively crowd after drinking their "killer" hurricanes. The lights gleaming around your body as you dance to the different genres of music, everyone laughing and having an awesome time, you will be sure to have one of the greatest times of your life and fit right in with the great "spice" of New Orleans.
