Fodor's Review

Noted architect William Brand built this Georgian-style house in 1831, and it's one of the largest and best-preserved examples of American architecture in the Vieux Carre. Cooking demonstrations on the open hearth of the Creole kitchen are held most Thursdays from October through May. You'll want to check the gift shop, which has many local crafts and books.
