If local restaurants were judged solely by the beauty of their courtyards, Broussard's would certainly be a standout—but the food here is also consistently outstanding. Expect dishes like crab cakes with Creole tomato-olive relish; a hearty corn, shrimp, and sweet-potato bisque; and tender, grilled, pork-fillet medallions with horseradish, molasses, and mustard glaze—you won't forget your meal anytime soon. Fight the good fight for an outdoor table, and ask about the selection of savory sauces to accompany your entrée. The owner was born in Germany, and he runs a special menu German specials at Christmas time.
