W Hotel New Orleans Review

A sleek blend of East Coast sophistication and Southern charm gives way to inspired accommodations at the W. Rooms are decorated in neutral tones with hints of color, with first-rate amenities such as Bliss bath products and beds with goosedown pillows and comforters; 100 are designated as home-office rooms and especially good for business travelers. The upscale lobby is home to the Rande Gerber-designed Whiskey Blue lounge.

Great location, cute courtyard, but the room was worn, service very mixed, the complimentary breakfast laughable (coffee, a few pieces of fruit stuck in a basket, and cream for the coffee only after asking several times for someone to retrieve some)...and one design oddity that must be noted: the sliding bathroom door (I'm told, by the maintenance engineer, on all the rooms) does not close all the way, leaving a 1 inch gap. Provocative or irritating? You decide.
