The Ritz occupies the artfully converted, historic Maison Blanche department store building with a luxurious hotel reminiscent of old New Orleans. Rooms are furnished with local antiques, and feature oversize marble bathrooms, and plush linens. The Club Floor has 75 rooms, including one suite, with a concierge and a private lounge. The expansive lobby, adorned in carefully selected fine art and upscale furnishings found in traditional New Orleans homes, opens onto a luxurious courtyard. The hotel's recently opened dining room, Mélange, offers re-creations of signature dishes from high-profile restaurants throughout the city. The hotel, within walking distance of most attractions and minutes from the Convention Center, borders the French Quarter and faces the CBD.
