The Grill Room Review
With its elegant table settings and canvases depicting the lives of the British nobility, the Grill Room has always been a beacon of understated class. During a run of short tenures from its top chefs the restaurant was eclipsed by the competition, but Kristin Butterworth, recently arrived from Pennsylvania, is righting the ship with her contemporary Southern menu. Offerings might include a "foie and waffle" starter, butter poached halibut cheeks, or suckling pork chops with rosemary grits. The wine cellar, with its extensive collection of vintage red Bordeaux, remains awe inspiring, so don't hesitate to ask the knowledgeable staff for recommendations.
