Riverwalk Marketplace
Riverwalk Marketplace Review
Built in what was once the International Pavilion for the 1984 World's Fair, the Riverwalk Marketplace features shops selling souvenirs, jewelry, shoes, and merchandise with local themes. There's a food court, a Café du Monde, and a balcony overlooking the Mississippi River that provides a picturesque place to take a break from shopping. Outside the mall is Spanish Plaza, the scene of frequent outdoor concerts and special events. As of publication, the Riverwalk Marketplace is set to undergo renovations in late 2013, so check before you visit.
