Loews New Orleans Hotel
Fodor's Finds Hotels
Book NowLoews New Orleans Hotel Review
A refashioned office building in the heart of downtown is home to this plush 21st-century hotel; the West Indies-style lobby provides a welcoming atmosphere, and bright, oversize rooms are enriched with local artwork and soothing colors. The guest rooms are among the largest and most well appointed in the city. Café Adelaide and the Swizzle Stick Bar, both on the lobby level, are operated by the same family that owns the legendary Commander's Palace Restaurant. This may look like a typical chain hotel on the outside, but inside it's singular in its quality and consistency. Pros : well managed; accessible to everything that counts downtown; reliable service and product. Cons : some ammenities need an upgrade (e.g., CD players to iPod docks).
