Claims to be the friendliest large hotel in the city stand up quite well; there's also stellar service, a Brennan-family restaurant, and bright, oversize rooms. The West Indies–style lobby, with a striking front-desk mural, is very welcoming, and local artwork and soothing colors enrich the pleasant rooms—they're among the largest and most well-appointed in the city. Café Adelaide and the Swizzle Stick Bar, both on the lobby level, are operated by the same family
that owns the legendary Commander's Palace Restaurant. This may look like a typical chain hotel on the outside, but its quality and consistency set it apart.

Just stayed there for four nights in January and was super-impressed with the value. Booked over the phone with the hotel and was impressed with how friendly they were from the gitgo. We got a fabulous price I felt. I travel and lot and am picky. For the price, the rooms and ambiance and service were exceptional. Beautfiul marble bath with separate stall shower with the trendy new trackless glass shower doors and granite vanity. We had the small corner
room with river view which could have used a mirror over the desk. However, they provide a nice magnifying mirror that is portable in the bathroom and I just moved it out there. Service was great and a complimentary NYTImes was provided daily - even the Sunday one so I took it home with me!Location was great. You can cut through Harrah's casino and get right on the riverfront streetcar to take you directly to French Market and Cafe Beignet if you wish. I would definitely recommend. SHort walk to everywhere else too. I love New Orleans and cannot wait to return!!

I've visited the fabulous Loews hotel twice in the last seven months and have been extremely pleased each time. The staff is one of the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered in many years of travel. I'll certainly return in the near future!
