Fodor's Review:

Built in 1927 as an apartment house, the Raphael today bills itself as a boutique hotel. It's an intimate, European-style facility with large rooms that have excellent views of the plaza.

My company booked and paid for a three night stay at the Raphael. The front desk needed my credit card only for incidentals. When I checked out, there were no charges.
To my great surprise, when I received my credit card bill I was charged for the room. Not just for the three nights I was there (which my company paid for) but for FIVE nights. Worse yet, my card was subjected to additional charges for the following week as well.
Would the fraudulent charges keep coming? Calls to the Raphael to resolve the issue resulted in daily dumps to voicemail.
I had no choice but to cancel my credit card, file a fraud report, and two months later I'm still calling the Raphael's accounting department to resolve the issue. The accountant ("Tara") has steadfastly refused to explain the charges, provide invoices, or respond in any intelligent way north of "huh?"
Never again! Buyer beware!!!
