Belly Shack Review

Chef Bill Kim affectionately refers to Belly Shack—the sequel to his acclaimed Logan Square noodle house Urban Belly—as his "love story," because the menu fuses his Korean roots and his wife's Puerto Rican background. Not to be missed are the Belly Dog topped with egg noodles, pickled green papaya, and togarashi-spiced fries, and the Boricua, a jibarito (fried plantain sandwich) with marinated tofu, hoisin sauce, and brown rice. Much like Urban Belly, space is tight at this casual-yet-hip BYOB, so it's best to show up early to avoid a wait.
