Tavernita

Tavernita Review

Inspired by the bustling culture of San Sebastian, Tavernita is actually two spaces: a sleek contemporary Spanish restaurant and a buzzing corner bodega called Barcito. Tavernita has been drawing rave reviews since it opened. The main restaurant draws sceney crowds with club music and signature kegged cocktails, and chef Ryan Poli's menu entertains foodies with dishes like ceviche with celery, tomatoes, ginger, cilantro, and orange, and pork-belly bocadillos (sandwiches) with apple jam and pickled red onions on a brioche bun. If you just want a quick bite, though, you can sidestep to Barcito for stand-and-eat pinxtos (bar snacks) like croquetas with Iberico ham and saffron aioli, and marinated olives. If you get lost in translation, the menu has a handy glossary of Spanish food terminology to help find your way.
