Bar Toma

Bar Toma Review

Italian culinary master Tony Mantuano (of Spiaggia and Terzo Piano) has reclaimed the Water Tower tourist trap area as Chicago's landmark piazza with his neighborhood pizzeria, Bar Toma. Visitors stroll in throughout the day to snack on Roman-style fritti (fried appetizers) and hand-rolled mozzarella, sip imported wines, and feast on artisanal wood-fired pizzas made with premium ingredients like house-cured guanciale (Italian bacon) and rapini. If your schedule only allots for a grab-and-go bite, stop in for a quick gelato or mamaluchi (Italian doughnuts stuffed with lemon marmalade).

  • Chicago and Where Else

We'd like to go for a few days but that's a lot of flying to spend 3-4 days in one place.

    Any add-ons in the area?

    Thanks. Read more
