Fodor's Review:

Mike Ditka's Restaurant. NFL Hall-of-Famer Mike Ditka was the only coach to take the Bears to the Super Bowl. Sure, it was in 1985, but Bears fans have long memories, and they still love "Da Coach" as well as his clubby, sports-themed restaurant. The dark-wood interior, upstairs cigar lounge, and sports memorabilia are predictable, but the menu clearly aims to please large and diverse audiences. Café staples (salads, fish) and bar food (burgers, meat loaf) join steak-house fare (steaks, chops) and a few unexpected indulgences (crab and Parmesan-crusted halibut).

Expensive, but good

The food is very fresh, but portions are small. They offer daily specials, but you have to order a bunch of dishes to get full. A neat place to eat in that area, but if you're staying downtown, you can find comparable food for less $$.
