Chicago Restaurants

RL Review

Power brokers, moneyed locals, and Michigan Avenue shoppers keep the revolving doors spinning at RL, the initials of designer Ralph Lauren who lent his name and signature soigné style to the eatery that adjoins his Polo/Ralph Lauren store. Inside, cozy leather banquettes are clustered under hunt-club-style art hung on wood-paneled walls. The menu of American classics, including crab Louis, Dover sole in lemon butter, and steak Diane flamed in the dining room, perfectly suits the country-club-in-the-city setting.
