The Loop can be all business, even after-hours, but we found an enclave of personality at this spot in the Hotel Burnham. Mahogany columns, cherrywood floors, gold café curtains, and curvy banquettes provide color, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide light. The mostly American menu includes reliables like pan-roasted chicken breast and thick pork chops, peppered by contemporary fare such as crispy red lentil cakes and smoked paprika grilled salmon fillet.

I highly recommend trying their Eggs Benedict. They are to die for!
