DMK Burger Bar Review
Chef-owner Michael Kornick, of the restaurant mk, knows fine dining, but he is also a longtime fan of the simple burger. The two worlds commingle at DMK Burger Bar, where patties from grass-fed beef come topped with green chilies or caramelized onions and chipotle ketchup, and fries are adorned with truffle aioli. Yet the place is anything but fussy: the burgers, which are $9 each, are listed on the menu by number, and any of them can be made into a turkey burger on request. (There are also lamb and veggie options.) Diners used to thick burgers should consider ordering a double, since the patties here are purposely on the flat side. Come during the week to avoid the hour-long weekend waits, or be prepared to spend some time with a locally brewed beer at the bar.
