Chicago Sights

Graceland Cemetery

Updated 06/11/2013

Fodor's Review

Near Irving Park Road, this graveyard has crypts that are almost as strikingly designed as the city skyline. Some of Chicago's most prominent citizens, including Daniel Burnham and Marshall Field, are spending eternity here—the cemetery office offers maps. Some of the elaborate crypts were designed by the architect Louis Sullivan (also a resident).
