It's no wonder lovey-dovey couples are a big part of this hotel's clientele; everything here—from the roaring fireplace in the lobby to the cozy rooms' Victorian-style furnishings—says romance. The place is homey, with 24-hour coffee and tea service and afternoon cookies. You can rely on the concierge for just about anything, including reservations at the many restaurants in the busy Boystown and Wrigleyville neighborhoods just outside the door. The hotel is on a quiet
side street, so you'll have to walk a block for a cab.

Loved our stay at this elegant old (in a good way!), property. Our room was on the small side, but nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, luxurious linens, and a sparkling clean bathroom. The moldings, radiators and beautiful antique desk made it all the more enticing for us. We especially enjoyed the beautiful and genteel salon area for a very nice expanded continental breakfast. The desk staff and concierge were helpful and friendly, and helped
us book some touring destinations.

We have stayed at the majestic 4 times now. You have to ask for the suites, on the front. Good value nice rooms walking distance to Wrigley. 1/2 block from bus stop to downtown. Read previous review. They do have small rooms that aren't suites. Ask for the suite. Breakfast every morning included.

Perhaps the price is right, but certainly not a hotel worthy of a star. My room was so tiny that I couldn't even open my suitcase fully, having only about three feet between the wall and the end of my bed (on 2 sides). I had to walk sideways entering and leaving the room. Decor was drab, felt more dingy than cozy. Tiny bathroom with no counter space, thank God my washbag has its own hanging hook. Only one elevator (old-fashioned gated variety)
which barely fits two people with luggage, and very slow to arrive. No restaurant, scant buffet breakfast. The lobby/salon is warm and inviting but that's about it, the comfort level quickly drops from there. The staff were extremely nice, however, but I'm sad to say I would definitely not stay there again.
