Fodor's Review

On a busy day the lobby of this Hilton might be mistaken for a terminal at O'Hare Airport; it's a bustling convention hotel, but one that retains its distinguished 1920s heritage in a Renaissance-inspired entrance hall and gold-and-gilt grand ballroom. Renovations completed in 2012 provide new dining and drinking options—the venerable Kitty O'Shea's bar remains—and a more modern feel for 454 guest rooms. The gym, at 28,000 square feet, has enough room for an indoor track and swimming pool. Nearly 200 rooms have access to an executive lounge for complimentary breakfast and evening snacks.

Great stay in a beautiful place

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend 2004. Large busy hotel but the price was right and the rooms and facilities great. Two bathrooms was a real treat. The hourly shuttle to the Miracle mile really helped. Parking is very expensive. There is cheaper nearby.

Bring Back My Soap!

I loved this hotel. I appreciate the sitting areas on each floor. The service was impeccable- everyone said hi to me. Room service was fast and the food was wonderful. The ONLY drawback to my stay was the second day, housekeeping took my used bar of soap and didn't give me any new bars, leaving me soapless.

Way to ring in the New Year!

Caught a 'Christmas in July' rate of $79 for a king room and, for that, got a room with a perfect view of dual fireworks off Grant Park and Navy Pier, good food, and great service. Almost felt guilty! In room climate control did leave a little to be desired but, at that rate, I can be a little warm (and that's what windows are for)! Overall, unbeatable value in a classy place.

Busy Hotel Manages to Keep Romantic Charm

This is one of the largest hotels in Chicago, but yet it manages to keep its romantic charm. Although a tad out of the way of the busy "N. Michigan" it is a charmer. The beautiful lobby or Grand Hall is enough to awe anybody. Convenient bell service, and room service. Most rooms have spectacular Grant Park of Lake Views. Many restaurants and services located right in the hotel, and elevators are fast, quick, and convenient. Great choice for

any type of traveler.
