Patterson-McCormick Mansion

Patterson-McCormick Mansion Review

On the northwest corner of Astor and Burton places in the swanky Gold Coast, you'll find this Georgian building, commissioned in 1891 by Chicago Tribune chief Joseph Medill and built by Stanford White. You cannot go inside the building, which has been converted into condos— it is said that Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins owns one of the units.

  • Chicago and Where Else

We'd like to go for a few days but that's a lot of flying to spend 3-4 days in one place.

    Any add-ons in the area?

    Thanks. Read more
